Bias in the media is not anything new
By

Janel Sheehan’s Oct. 24 column was absolutely infuriating!

Being twice her age, I might give her a little slack for not seeing what I’ve seen over the years.

First, she thinks she discovered media bias by pointing out FOX New’s conservative stance.

Not so, Janel. In fact there has been a left-wing liberal media bias for DECADES! All through the ‘70s, ‘80s and early ‘90s, I had to suffer through endless liberal bias.

Only with the advent of talk radio and FOX News in 1997 did the conservative viewpoint finally get an outlet in the mainstream media. Since then, liberals who never objected before have suddenly discovered “bias” and have called for Big Brother to quash freedom of the press and control it himself.

Under the guise of fighting “corporate media,” leftists are fighting for a government controlled media like in Cuba that would permanently black out the truth once and for all.

In fact, both PBS and NPR take my tax dollars against my will to fund left-wing propaganda that they call news.

Besides that, the left also has NBC, CBS, MS-NBC, Time, Life, Newsweek, The New York Times, The Chicago Sun Times, the New York Post and countless other outlets.

But the young wide-eyed Janel doesn’t know any of this. She only knows what her leftist professors tell her. I say thank God for FOX News. It’s arrival was long overdue.

McCarron is such a conservative attack poodle. Even his fellow Republicans distance themselves from him.

Bravo, Ted. You said it better than i could have done myself. And remember, the New York Times was the paper that supported George Custer, a Democrat, to encourage him to run for President in 1876. Liberal press has a history.

Bravo, Ted. You have said it best. The press is not only generally liberal, but often underresearched on topics. Those who do not know history are doomed to become reporters.
