SA should stop wasting student money for GPS

SA should stop wasting student’s money. I strongly believe this is a project so that the people can put on their resumés saying that they implemented a GPS system in the school bus system.

I use to take the No. 3 bus, and I based my analysis on my experience. Busses in school run in a constant interval. No. 3 is about 10 minutes during the day and 30 minutes at night.

I didn’t need to know where the buses were when I get out the door. I knew that it takes about three minutes from my apartment to the bus stop, and if I get out at 5, 15, 25, etc. of each hour, I never have to wait more than 5 minutes for my bus.

Now that there are bus shelters everywhere, I don’t think 5 minutes is too long, even in the winter time, anymore.

Also, most of the buses in school run in a rather short distance (except the No. 7 and weekend No. 4). By the time I log on to my computer get on the Web page and check the location of the bus, I would have missed it.

We do not need GPS system to track the bus. All we need to do is post bus schedules at the bus stops. I don’t think we need to spend $27,000 for that.

P.S. I am wondering if there is any way students can stop this dumb project of
SA’s.
