Announcing my candidacy for DeKalb Court circuit clerk
By

I would like to take this opportunity to announce my candidacy for the position of DeKalb County circuit clerk. There are several reasons why I am seeking this public office and asking the voters of DeKalb County for their support.
In the upcoming months I plan to discuss various aspects of this office and how they impact the citizens of DeKalb County. Fast growth has brought new challenges that influence the way our business is done. I intend to bring thoughtful discourse to the practical issues and responsibilities of this important office.

First and foremost, I believe in responsible, ethical and competent government. Above all else, the people of DeKalb County deserve this standard. I pledge to serve the DeKalb County voters and the participants of our judiciary system in a timely and cost-effective manner, providing all appropriate court records, information and services with courtesy, efficiency and most importantly, impartiality.

Secondly, I believe good government must lead as communities change. My message to DeKalb County voters is one of choice, change and modernization.
A great deal has happened since 1984 when the incumbent was first elected. I am offering voters a new direction. I will use technology to streamline the operations of the office and facilitate an organized, efficient and secure record of our Court taking into consideration cost-saving opportunities.

Finally, my family has a long history contributing to DeKalb County dating back to the mid-1800s. I am excited and prepared to use my knowledge and experience to carry on that tradition and serve the DeKalb County residents as their next circuit clerk.
