Team Report Cards
By

FOOTBALL
Grade: INCOMPLETE
This student missed too many classes but provided a doctors note. I cannot fail this student for medical reasons; however, I can’t pass them either. Student must get this card signed by parent or guardian and return next fall healthy and ready to compete on a higher level.
— Brandon Mangia, football beat reporter

WOMEN'S SOCCER
Grade: B+
Struggled a bit on the first couple of exams, but rebounded to finish the semester strong. Group project was solid (6-3-2 conference record) and great results on the final exam (semi-final finish). Showing great potential and expect big things in the future.
— Derrick Smith, women’s soccer beat reporter

MEN'S SOCCER
Grade: C
Last year you got an ‘A', as you aced all your exams and turned in all your homework.
This fall you had stellar performances to bring you away from the mean (2-1 win over Northwestern and 0-0 at Akron), but had too many setbacks (3-0 loss to Hartwick, 3-1 loss to Bowling Green) to bring you back to average.
With a lineup stockpiled with blue-chip talent, you must hit the books hard and regain the hard-nosed edge that defined the 2006 team. Merely showing up will not get you the grade your coaching staff desires, the ability to mount a quick turn around is within your grasp.
- James Nokes, men’s soccer beat reporter

VOLLEYBALL
Grade: C+
Turned in all assignments on time, but showed lack of consistency in work. Student does show promise, but may need to repeat the class next year in order to adjust. I expect good things next fall.
— Andy Pruski, volleyball beat reporter
