Huskie Buses running on weekend schedule
By DAVID THOMAS

The Huskie Bus Line has reverted to its weekend routes as a result of the university’s closing.

Brent Keller, the Student Association mass transit director, said that he made the decision.

“I felt that it was not appropriate given the campus threat,” Keller said. “However, we kept the weekend route open because we know some students depend on that route.”

As for future operations, Keller said that it’s “contingent upon the decision made by the administration,” meaning that the Huskie Line will return to its normal routes if the administration decides to re-open the campus Tuesday.

Keller said the weather was also a factor.

“It is also depending on the nature of the weather. We’re expecting a severe ice storm to hit us tonight,” Keller said.

The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued an ice storm warning for DeKalb from midnight Monday to midnight Tuesday. Freezing rain and sleet is expected.
