Sandwich man killed in crash Tuesday

A Sandwich man was killed Tuesday morning in a crash involving a car and a train in Hinckley.

Dan F. Lindner, 56, of Sandwich, was pronounced dead at noon at the scene of the accident. Lindner was traveling north on Oak Street and was struck by an eastbound train at the Lincoln Avenue crossing.

The death is being investigated by the Hinckley Police Department and the DeKalb County Coroner’s Office. No foul play is suspected.
