Preliminary Noriega hearings postponed

SYCAMORE — The first in a series of preliminary hearings for the death of Luis Noriega has been postponed.

The court date for Fred Jakob, 22, of Lockport, has been changed from Sept. 4 to Sept. 27. The hearing date and time will be the same as Christopher Tadder’s, at 8:45 a.m.

The court dates for the other defendants will remain the same, with Emily Hobbs’ at 8:45 a.m. on Sept. 18 and Nathan Schrank’s at 1:30 p.m. on Sept 21.

Only Schrank has been charged with murder, while the other three accused have been charged with counts of aggravated battery.

All of the hearings will be held in Room 204 of the DeKalb County Courthouse, 133 W. State St., Sycamore.
