Giant snowman's demise disappoints builder
By LETTER WRITER

To whomever knocked over the snowman I created Tuesday, I’d like to say this: Thank you.

Thank you for ruining whatever happiness I’d accumulated today. On a day when joy was hard to come by, I was outside, relaxing and reconnecting with my childhood. I hope you feel proud for destroying that.

This was no ordinary snowman. He stood at 6 feet 4 inches tall, weighed at least 200 pounds, and took two hours to construct.

Thank you for wrecking something so monumental to me, something I put so much energy into, with just a single swing of your arm.

This wasn’t the first snowman I’ve made on campus, either. In mid-January, on a similarly sad day, I created a much smaller snowman, only to find it trampled hours later. This disregard for something so innocent shocked me at first, but I guess I can’t expect much character from people like you.

Again, thank you.
