Do you think the media coverage of Barack Obama's campaign has been over the top? |

I am not sure about how anyone else is feeling, or how they are expressing their feelings about all that has been going on here at NIU, but I have been overwhelmed with feelings – most unexplainable.
I went home Thursday night, spoke with my family about everything that was going on here – at least, all that I knew of – and vowed not to watch any more news.
I was tired of talking and thinking about it already, so I went to my room, and watched Facebook.
I watched the status changes, clicking “home” and “inbox” and “friends” like I was flipping back and forth between "American Idol" and "Making the Band 4." I joined groups, “Hokies for Huskies” and so many more.
I don’t know how many others did this, but I added the creator of every group that I joined to my friends list, most of them being from Virginia Tech. Their support has been insurmountable to anything I have ever seen before.
Sure, we have these counselors in our classrooms, but there is nothing like a message from a Hokie, telling me my feelings, only because they have felt my feelings before.
I cried reading the messages and wall posts, and just seeing all the support, all the tribute videos, seeing the pictures of the sports figures and students wearing NIU [paraphernalia].
It truly made me feel good to be a HUSKIE. And to know that we have the support of a nation behind us. Pushing us. Forward, Together Forward.
