Thursday column puts forth right questions
By LETTER WRITER

I just want to applaud John Puterbaugh’s Thursday column questioning the $40 million being spent on replacing Cole Hall. Although I was in the lecture hall when this horrific event happened and am in support of demolishing the building, $40 million just seems absolutely absurd. Reading that Barsema Hall cost $20 million in comparison confuses me all the more and should demonstrate that spending $40 million is over the top. There are too many buildings on campus that need repairs or updates as it is. I sincerely hope that President Peters and Gov. Blagojevich rethink the budget on this one.
