Rant: Good company in misery
By BEN GROSS

Monty Python’s “Life of Brian” taught us to always look on the bright side of life.

Sure, it doesn’t seem like 0-2 is bright, but after you think about, it’s really not that bad.

For example, NIU is 0-2, but it’s 0-0 in the MAC. Eastern Michigan and Toledo are both 0-1 in conference.

And sure, the Huskies lost to a Division I-AA team or Football Championship Subdivision or whatever it is called these days.

But hey, at least it wasn’t Michigan, who started ranked No. 5 in the nation and is now, well off the charts. And not in a good way.

So NIU’s 0-2, but so is Michigan, Notre Dame and Western Michigan. At least there’s good company in misery.
