Rochelle woman dies after two-car crash
By ALAN EDRINN

A 24-year-old Rochelle woman died about an hour after a two-vehicle car crash Wednesday evening.

Alison Snyder was pronounced dead at 5:13 p.m. Wednesday at Kishwaukee Community Hospital after her vehicle failed to yield to an eastbound vehicle while driving northbound at the corner of Eighth and Franklin streets.

The eastbound vehicle hit her car on the driver’s side and pushed her car into a yard at the northeast corner of the intersection, striking the front of a house. No one in the house was injured.

Both drivers were taken from the scene to Kishwaukee Community Hospital.

The second driver was later released.

The accident remains under investigation by the DeKalb Police Department and the DeKalb County Coroner’s Office.
