NIU
Wednesday afternoon, the Huskies held on for a road victory over Big Ten foe Iowa. Pitcher Dave Reynolds improved his record to 2-0, pitching 5 2–3 innings and recording six strikeouts. The sophomore also drove in two runs in the contest.

BGSU
The Falcons recorded a season-high 17 hits in a 12-8 win over Findlay on Wednesday. T.J. Blanton led the way for BGSU. The sophomore went 3-for-4 from the plate and drove in four runs.


Key Players

NIU
Two-time MAC West Pitcher of the Week recipient Adam Holdenrid is slated to start Saturday. Holdenrid earned the award with a complete game victory over Buffalo on March 22. The Mendota native is 3-1 on the year with a 2.39 ERA and 21 strikeouts over 26 innings.

BGSU
Ryan Shay uses both his bat and legs to down opponents. The junior infielder bats .444 with seven doubles for the Falcons and is perfect on his six stolen base attempts.


Vital Stat

NIU
The Huskies lead the MAC in batting average and ERA in conference play. NIU is batting .342 against league opponents and holds a 2.33 ERA in the MAC.

BGSU
The Falcons are third in the MAC with a .304 average. The Falcon hitters will have to deal with the NIU pitching rotation, whose opposing batting average of .285 is also third in the league.
