'27 Dresses' is filled with cliches, fluff

Life is hard. And it’s not usually folk punk, with its political overtones, that brightens people’s days.
Yet, “No More Tears,” a one-minute-and-two-second folk jam, makes me happy. It also makes me mindful of everyone around me and gives me a sense of community.
The line, “No more bad times, no more bummers / no more SUV’s and no more Hummers,” always evokes at least a smile on my face when I hear it.
In today’s isolated times, it is refreshing to hear a band that can try to unite with the power of words. When the band sings, “We’re all one big band all across this land and we should sing in tune,” I don’t feel so isolated in agreement.
Have a good day today.
