One vehicle was seen chasing another vehicle with a passenger allegedly shooting at the second vehicle in the 900 block of Oak Street on Friday, according to DeKalb police.

At 8:30 p.m., a witness, who was walking his dog in the area, allegedly saw two pickup trucks that appeared to be chasing each other and driving without headlights. The witness saw a passenger in one of the trucks lean out and fire one shot, presumably at the other truck, said Lt. Gary Spangler of the DeKalb Police Department.

The vehicles were last seen traveling south on 10th Street from the Oak Street intersection.
The first vehicle from which the shot was fired is described as a red pickup truck, and the second vehicle at which the shot is described as a dark pickup truck.

Spangler said there is no indication the incident was gang-related and the case is still under investigation.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the DeKalb Police Department at 815-748-8400.
