NIU is planning to host a memorial concert later this semester at the Convocation Center. The Northern Star and the Convo are interested in the opinions of the student body for whom they would like to see at the concert. All votes cast will be taken into consideration by the Convo staff in determining which artists will come to DeKalb.

To vote, go to www.northernstar.info/memorialconcert and choose six artists you would like to see. All votes must be in by Thursday, at 9 p.m.

All proceeds from the show will go directly to the Feb. 14 Scholarship Fund. The Star will select a random winner from all entries to win a pair of tickets to see Jimmy Eat World and Paramore or Carrie Underwood.

There are no band guarantees based on votes, this is merely an informational tool to determine band and genre of music type and interest.

The Convo Center and its Memorial sponsor Best Buy want to include NIU students directly in the process of attempting to select acts for the event.
