Baseball cancels game against UW-Milwaukee due to weather
By ALAN EDRINN

Cold weather induced the cancellation of the NIU baseball team’s scheduled game against Illinois State on Tuesday.

The Huskies (9-14 overall, 3-3 MAC), barring frigid temperatures again today, will play their second home game against University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee (5-16, 2-4 Horizon) at 2:30 p.m.

The Panthers are coming off of a weekend series win over Butler. UW–Milwaukee features First Team All–Horizon League utility man Josh Groves.

Last season, Groves hit .396 while driving in 29 runs and scoring 24 himself. The junior has continued his success into this season by hitting .325 and producing 10 RBIs in only 16 games this season.
