Softball cancels game against Northwestern
By ANDREA BRADLEY

After dropping 13 straight games, the NIU softball team was going to have the chance to break the streak.

However, due to “extreme cold,” the Huskies (5-15 overall, 0-2 MAC) will have to wait for their chance to win, according to Media Services’ Web site.

The team’s home opener against No. 16 Northwestern was canceled yesterday. A makeup date has not been announced yet.

However, NIU announced the date for the rescheduled game against Illinois State. Earlier in the season, a doubleheader against ISU was canceled due to inclement weather. The two teams will now face off April 29 in Normal.
