NIU student robbed by three suspects
By ALAN EDRINN

An NIU student was robbed Wednesday night.

A male NIU student was walking alone in the 1200 block of Normal Road when he was approached from behind by the three suspects. When the victim turned around, he was hit in the face by one of the suspects and knocked to the ground, said Lt. Gary Spangler of the DeKalb Police Department.

The suspects demanded money from the victim, took property he had dropped and ran south on Normal Road.

The victim suffered minor injuries, but did not require medical attention, Spangler said.

The suspects are described as three black males of average build, with one wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.
