Graffiti discovered on two DeKalb business fronts
By ALAN EDRINN

Suspected gang graffiti was found on the front of two DeKalb businesses Monday morning.

About 5 a.m. Monday, the front of the DeKalb Moose Lodge, 1231 E. Lincoln Highway, and the Elegant Marble House, 1209 E. Lincoln Highway, were found covered with a large amount of graffiti that is suspected to be gang graffiti, said Lt. Gary Spangler of the DeKalb Police Department.

Spangler said the type of business had nothing to do with the reason they were targeted and that gangs use graffiti to show territory.

“Gang graffiti is more of a territorial crime,” he said.

The suspected gang involved has been identified from the graffiti and police are processing evidence from the scene.
