By STEVE NITZ

DeKALB | More than 2,000 tickets have been sold for the NIU vs. Notre Dame baseball game at U.S. Cellular Field on Wednesday, April 16.

NIU expects a crowd of about 3,000-4,000 people to attend the game.

“Right now, we’re extremely excited,” said Eric Schultz, associate director of ticketing operation for the Convocation Center. “It’s such a great opportunity to play at U.S. Cellular Field against Notre Dame.”

Fans can purchase tickets at the Convocation Center, as well as through Ticketmaster and Whitesox.com. All tickets cost $10 and are without any Ticketmaster convenience charge. All seats are in the lower level of U.S. Cellular Field.

The proceeds from the game will benefit the Feb. 14 Scholarship Fund.
