Rant: Favre just painted a green and gold target on Rodgers' back

Aaron Rodgers is screwed.

In one of his trademark moments of unparalleled brilliance, allegedly retired quarterback Brett Favre remarked recently that if Rodgers, his heir apparent three years running and Green Bay’s new starting quarterback, were to get injured during the upcoming season, a return to the Packers would be “tempting.”

Favre, you idiot. Do you have any idea what you’ve done? Why don’t you just slap a sign on his back that says ‘INJURE ME’? How is Rodgers supposed to cross a street in Wisconsin now without Joe Cheesehead in his Don Beebe jersey trying to run the kid down like a couch on the railroad tracks? I mean, the couch is only slightly more elusive.

If Favre wants to play football, he should end this retirement charade and just come back already.

He doesn’t need to put a bounty on the poor kid’s head.

Godspeed, Aaron.
