UP define bomb threat perimeter
By NORTHERN STAR STAFF

The perimeter of the area under bomb threat is currently “at its maximum,” according to University Police Chief Donald Grady.

On Normal Road, pedestrians must keep on the main sidewalk going south until south of Altgeld Hall.

The area behind Altgeld is permissable until McMurry Hall. Although McMurry has not been evacuated, pedestrians cannot step outside the building in the perimeter. The east side of Adams Hall has been evacuated.

Officers are letting vehicles pass through the part of the perimeter at the corner of Lucinda and Garden Road. No one, however, is permitted to stand or walk around the intersection until they get to the parking lot outside Anderson Hall.

A K-9 unit was spotted with an officer outside of Anderson Hall even though it is outside of the perimeter.
