“Midnight Cowboy” (1969)

Director: John Schlesinger

Starring: Dustin Hoffman, Jon Voight

Synopsis: Naive Texan Joe Buck (Voight) abandons the Lonestar State for the Big Apple, planning to earn his fortune as a gigolo. Instead, he meets crippled slum urchin Enrico Salvatore ‘Ratso’ Rizzo (Hoffman), and the two form an unlikely camaraderie. It’s got a sad ending, though, so don’t bring a date, unless they’re into that kind of thing.
