Taste of Asia to close Asian American Heritage Month
By JERRY BURNES

The Asian American Resource Center along with Kappa Pi Beta will host Taste of Asia on Thursday night at the Newman Catholic Student Center.

“This is one of the closing ceremonies for the Asian American Heritage Month,” said Michelle Bringas, director of the Asian American Resource Center. “This is one of our signature events - our ninth annual.”

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and food will be served at 6:30 p.m., with programs starting at 7 p.m.
Bringas said Taste of Asia will feature different foods that represent different Asian cultures along with student organization displays about Asian countries.

There will also be performances and mock awards given.

“The purpose is to highlight Asian American cultures through presentations, food, and student organization displays,” Bringas said.
