CAB president-elect regrets removal
By LETTER WRITER

It is with great disappointment that I have to confirm the reports of my removal from CAB presidency. As explained to me by Brian Hemphill, vice president of Student Affairs, I was removed from office as a hiring decision. As of today, I have not received any official documentation from the university outlining the reasoning behind my removal. Until that happens, I have been informed that I can’t take any actions.
I understand that there are a lot of supporters and general individuals that are enraged by these actions. I want them to understand that no one, not I, Colleen Murphy, Amanda Williams, Brian Hemphill or even President Peters are above those laws that govern this university. It is with strict adherence to the policies and procedures that we must abide by. No matter how passionately I wanted the position, I must be bound to the rules of our university.
There have been instances in this entire campaign that I have felt mistreated, and it was through adherence to proper procedure that those wrong actions were corrected. If, indeed, these actions by the university are legitimate, then I will accept their decision as to not let me proceed with my presidency. Until that time, we will be conducting the necessary follow-up and investigation into this matter.
