NIU women's golf finishes seventh in MAC Championships

The NIU women’s golf team saved its best for Sunday at the MAC Championships.

The hosting Huskies posted their best team score of the weekend with a 322, 34 shots over par. NIU as a team finished in seventh place with a +156.

NIU sophomore Kim Hunley finished with a 314, 26 shots over par, placing her in a tie for 13th. Senior Abbie Many finished with a 79 in the final round. Her tournament score of 321 was good for a tie for 21st.

“We look forward to our returning players improving next season,” NIU head coach Pam Tyska said.

Kent State swept both the team and individual championships. As a team, KSU shot 25 over par. Kirby Dreher won the individual title with a three-day score of 291, three shots over par.
