NIU tennis player Brian Livingston considers himself a very goal-oriented person.

Earlier in the season, Livingston said one of his goals was to receive the MAC Player of the Year award.

This goal came true Monday afternoon, when the junior was announced the recipient of the conference honor.

Livingston finished the spring and fall campaigns with a combined 24-6 record at No. 1 singles.

When paired up with Adam Ford, the duo produced a 20-8 record at No. 1 doubles. Livingston lost in dual meet competition only twice this spring, posting a 17-2 record.

The Skokie native is the first Huskie to receive the Player of the Year award since Willy Gali in 2005.
