Flick Pick: 'BASEketball' (1998)
By ORLANDO LARA

Director: David Zucker

Starring: Trey Parker, Matt Stone

Plot: Lifelong friends Joe Cooper and Doug Remer love basketball, but they hate the whole dribbling-and-running part. So, they combine all the skill of basketball and the standing around of baseball to invent BASEketball. It turns into a big deal and becomes an official league. If “starring Trey Parker and Matt Stone” isn’t enough, how about a locker room scene that leaves just enough to the imagination? It also stars some of the day’s most popular athletes and commentators actually being funny. I’m looking at you, Bob Costas: “You’re excited? Feel these nipples.”
