What's worth renting from today's DVD releases
By TONY MARTIN

Here are Tony’s picks for what to rent on DVD today:

“I’m Not There” - The Bob Dylan biopic finally hits DVD after what seems like forever. Brilliant performances by Cate Blanchett, Heath Ledger, Richard Gere and others highlight this film about the many phases of Bob Dylan’s life and music. The film’s charms are in these performances, which make this movie stand out above all the other biopics that have clogged the market in the last few years.

“First Sunday” - Ice Cube and Tracy Morgan decide to rob a church. However, the responses to this film have been incredibly negative so far, so unless one would be interested in seeing another role that takes Ice even further from his gangster days, avoid this movie.

“P.S. I Love You” - People might rent this movie thinking it’s a sappy love story or a cute “chick flick.” However, this is neither, and anyone who rents it is in for a long, painful story that was honestly quite depressing.

“Over Her Dead Body” - Eva Longoria Parker and Paul Rudd star in a movie that wasn’t entertaining. Sure, there were short glimpses of humor, and Rudd is a great actor, but the script was bland, and Longoria Parker’s acting could not carry the movie. Recommended if one wants to see Rudd’s career take a turn for the worse.

“Teeth” - A cautionary tale for men; this movie will give anyone the chills. The humor is dark and biting (pun completely intended) and will keep anyone entertained for a little while. Those teeth are not just anywhere — they are in the last place anyone could have imagined.
