White Sox manager made right moves
By LETTER WRITER

Thank you Ozzie Guillen for standing up for yourself and what you believe in. Thank you for showing that some fans of Chicago actually do get to you when they show their fair-weatheredness. Thank you for taking so much heat as a manager, despite your many accomplishments such as a World Series Championship and AL Manager of the Year. Thank you for fighting for the White Sox, because I can relate to you all too very well. Thank you for not “curbing” your statements because you show who you really are day in and day out.

Thank you for not being like “sweet” Lou, who has the comfort of being the city’s favorite manager for the favorite team. Thank you for dealing with daily criticism by journalists who have an unfounded resentment toward you. Thank you for being able to admit that “we stink,” unlike many other mangers in baseball. Most of all Ozzie, thank you for constantly dealing with the fact that the White Sox will always be the city’s second team, despite all their accomplishments.
