Flick Pick: 'Lean on Me'
By PATRICK BATTLE

Starring: Morgan Freeman

Synopsis: When the stern Joe Clark is made principal of a failing inner-city high school, he rules with an iron fist and takes crap from no one. To keep drug dealers out, he chains the school’s doors closed during school hours, breaking the fire code. When the authorities come to challenge him, he guards his territory with a bat, yelling, “They used to call me Crazy Joe. Well now they can call me Batman!” Who knew the man with the bat would actually be aiding Batman some 16 years later in “The Dark Knight”? More importantly, this film was the commercial kick-start for the unstoppable force of pure incorruptible morality – the entity we refer to as Morgan Freeman.
