Flick Pick: 'Clash of the Titans'
By JOHN RANALLO

Director: Desmond Davis

Starring: Harry Hamlin, Laurence Olivier, Burgess Meredith, Maggie Smith

Plot: Perseus, mortal son of Zeus, undertakes a journey to save the fair Princess Andromeda from the deadly sea creature, the Kracken monster. Pitted against some of the deadliest creatures in Greek mythology and armed with weapons from the Gods, Perseus travels to seek the wisdom of the three Stygian Witches. After encoutering Pegasus, the last of the flying horses, and battling the spiteful son of Thetis, Perseus crosses the river of Styx and faces a creature more dangerous than the Kracken itself. Featuring claymation special effects by movie magic man Ray Harryhausen, the final showdown is set for “A Titan against a Titan.” “Clash of the Titans” is an epic story that takes viewers across mythology, bringing to life the tales of your boring humanities class.
