Israel 60 article did not reflect reality
By LETTER WRITER

Once again, I am writing to you out of disgust. I wrote you a letter last week regarding the absence of Holocaust Remembrance Day in the Northern Star. Now, I am writing to you about the article regarding Israel’s Independence Day. I do not oppose you including the opinions of the Palestinian protesters, although the thing I do have a problem with is how you make Israel seem bad in the choice of words and included statistics in the article.

First of all, most of the article was about the protesters and their mission, and it’s sad that they got so much recognition from you. Second, you guys should consider checking up on facts before publishing them in a newspaper (the 800,000 misplaced in one day is ridiculous). Now you seem to mention all of the “horrible” things Israel is apparently doing to the poor and helpless

Palestinians, but maybe you should also mention the other side of the argument, such as terrorist attacks, daily rockets fired at Israel, everyday threats toward Israel.

Now, I truly don’t understand the level of ignorance that this newspaper has reached overall, in the fact that it is so anti-Semitic and so anti-Israel.
