Last homestand starts strong with 7-4 win

NIU began finals week with a come from behind 7-4 victory over Northern Iowa on Monday.

The win puts the Huskies (24-23) over .500 for the first time all season.

Brandon Coop earned the win for NIU pitching three innings, giving up two runs on four hits. Andy Deain pitched a scoreless ninth for the save.

NIU will face Western Michigan on Thursday at 3 p.m. to begin a three-game series with the Broncos to close out the regular season schedule

The Huskies sit in second place in the MAC West.
