Huskies win rubber match in final regular season game

NIU beat Western Michigan 8-5 on Saturday, marking the close of this year's regular season.

The Huskies (26-24 overall, 16-10 MAC) tied a school record for most regular season wins with Saturday's victory. NIU finished second in the west division of the MAC and fourth overall in the conference, both which tie previous marks.

The Huskies, a four-seed in the MAC tournament, travel to Chillicothe, Oh. on Wednesday, May 21 for a match-up with No. 5 Ball State. The game starts at 3 p.m. and can be heard on WLBK, 1360-AM.
