Severe Thunderstorm watch in effect for DeKalb County

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 5 a.m. CDT Monday morning for DeKalb County, the National Weather Service said.

Hail up to three inches in diameter, wind gusts up to 70 mph, and dangerous lightning is possible, said NIU staff meteorologist Gilbert Sebenste.
