"Prairie Home Companion" host to entertain NIU

Radio host and writer Garrison Keillor will grace the NIU Convocation Center on Thursday, Oct. 30 for a show in an intimate theater set.

Tickets for the event go on sale tomorrow, June 19 at 10 a.m. Reserved tickets are available at prices ranging from $30 to $60.

Keillor is best known as host of the popular radio program, "A Prairie Home Companion," which airs nationwide.

He played himself in the movie under the same name, which was an adaptation of the radio show. The film starred Meryl Streep, Lily Tomlin, Lindsay Lohan, Woody Harrelson, and Tommy Lee Jones.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the event, with the show beginning at 7:30 p.m.
