The NIU football team will be traveling to play Minnesota this Saturday and now is the time to pick up tickets.

“There are still plenty of tickets available for this weekend’s season opener,” said Eric Schultz, associate director of the ticket office.

In a contract with the University of Minnesota, the Huskies were given 3,000 tickets to sell for the Gopher’s last home opener in the Metrodome.

Tickets are $30 each and can be purchased one of three ways: calling the Convocation Center Ticket Office at (815) 752-6800, getting an order form from the NIU football Web site or visiting the ticket office.

On the football Web site, a ticket order form should be filled out and faxed to the ticket office at (815) 752-6801.

The ticket office asks for students not to mail the order form because it is too close to gameday.
The preferred way to purchase tickets is by walking in, according to the ticket office.

The ticket office is located on the east side of the Convocation Center through the tall glass doors and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
