The Rant: LPGA debating English test

Learn English or get suspended?

That’s what the LPGA is blazing a trail for.

According to ESPN, players on tour for at least two years would face suspension if they were not able to pass an oral evaluation of their English skills. Players could even lose their tour card for the year.

Come on LPGA, don’t you have better things to worry about?

Like the fact that the face of your organization, Annika Sorenstam, is retiring, and your “future star” Michelle Wie has been everything short of a bust.

Maybe the LPGA should work on marketing a new star or improving on the competitive aspect of the tour before making outrageous, un-needed rules to exclude multiculturalism from the game of golf.

It’s the 21st Century, get with it, LPGA.
