The DeKalb Police Department is searching for two suspects wanted for reported gang shootings.

In the first case, Eric S. Frias, 34, last of Morristown, Tenn., is the suspected shooter in the reported gang-related shooting at 7-Eleven, 930 N. Annie Glidden Road, Friday night.

About 10:40 p.m., Frias is suspected to have started firing gunshots at a rival gang member and began to chase the targeted rival gang member while he continued firing shots. No one was injured in the shooting, and all parties fled the scene before police arrived.

DeKalb Police Sgt. Bob Redel said it is unknown where Frias is staying, but he is believed to have gang affiliations.

“We got the impression he just got into town, was going to say for a while and leave,” Redel said.
A warrant was issued for Frias Saturday morning for aggravated discharge of a firearm.

In the second case, George J. Campos, 31, of DeKalb, is the suspected shooter in a gang-related shooting about 3 a.m. April 1, 2007 in the 200 block of Maplewood Avenue.

Campos reportedly fired several shots while on foot at the house, breaking a window on the second floor of the residence, according to a DeKalb Police Department news release. The tenant was home at the time of the shooting and was not injured.

Redel said Campos was a suspect in the shooting early in the investigation and was involved in a fight earlier in the night that required him being taken to the hospital. It is believed Campos fired the shots in retaliation to the fight, Redel said.

On July 21, a warrant was issued for Campos for aggravated discharge of a firearm.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Frias and Campos are urged to call the DeKalb Police Department at 815-748-8400, or Crimestoppers at 815-895-3272.
