How does a candidate’s family influence your decision on who to vote for?

“I think it shows how they raise their family, which reflects how they would shape the country.”
-Sasha Harris, freshman kinesiology major

“His family has nothing to do with it. I’m all about the candidate himself.”
-Mike Stupica, senior organizational communications major

“No, because the wife isn’t the one who is running; he is. They’re not the ones who will be running the country. In the end, it’s the president’s decision, not their spouse’s.”
-Shaun Banawa, sophomore kinesiology major

“When I’m choosing who to vote for, I think family and background information should not necessarily be a large part in making a decision. It should be based off the candidate’s policies and credentials.”
-Michael Weiss, junior marketing major

Wow. Apparently at least 50% of those questioned have no clue what the question was referring to and that there is a woman involved in this year's election.
