Men's, women's soccer pick up victories

The NIU men's soccer team was down 2-0 to Southern Illinois-Edwardsville at one point during it's first game at the new soccer complex on west campus.

The home crowd was not to be disappointed though as the Huskies won 3-2 in double overtime.

Junior Danny Lopez scored the game-winning goal at the 108th minute.

NIU will face Bradley in Peoria on Sunday.

Women's soccer now 3-0
The Huskies stayed undefeated by beating Northern Iowa 3-2 in double overtime on Friday.

Senior Thea Johnson scored four points on the night, including the game's first goal and an assist on the game winner by Kelsey Passaglia, her first career goal.

NIU has a 10-game unbeaten streak dating back to last season.

The Huskies will travel to Green Bay on Sunday for a match beginning at 1 p.m.

Three set loss to Clemson for women's volleyball
NIU fell in its first match at the Northern Iowa invite, 17-25, 19-25, 10-25 to Clemson.

The Huskies are currently taking on Marquette live from Northern Iowa.
