Women's soccer offense struggles through end of...
BOT committee approves direct lending

So Tom Brady is out for the season. Now what’s next for the team that went 18-1 last season?
Matt Cassel is what’s next.
The last time Cassel started a game at quarterback was in high school. He spent his entire career at USC as a backup to Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart, garnering only one start in his collegiate career — as a tight end.
Not too promising, is it?
Also figure in that the third and fourth string quarterbacks outshined Cassel in training camp. And the only relief from Cassel that New England will see is Chris Simms.
And we thought the Bears’ quarterback situation was bad!?
Given that if Cassel and Simms were going to step into any offense, it might as well be the Patriots’. I mean, Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Laurence Maroney and, oh yeah, an offense line that could stop a Mack Truck from getting into the backfield.
So while we should not expect Brady-like numbers from Cassel, Patriot fans should be quick to remember the plights of Brady before becoming the toast of Boston: sixth round draft pick, back-up to Drew Bledsoe, and an injury to Bledsoe gave Brady his first shot.
Three Super Bowl rings later, the Patriots got the greatest steal in NFL draft history.
I wonder if lightning can strike twice?
