DeKalb Police are searching for a suspect believed to have robbed Wal-Mart Tuesday morning.

About 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, the suspect entered an office in the store at 2300 Sycamore Road, displayed a handgun and demanded money from an employee. The suspect then left the store and drove away in a dark-colored vehicle east toward County Line Road, according to a news release from the DeKalb Police Department. No one was injured in the robbery.

According to the news release, the suspect is described as a black male, about 6 feet tall with an average build and about 20 years old. He was wearing a dark knit hat with a short bill, a gray pull over hoodie with the word “Braves” across the chest, blue jeans and gym shoes at the time of the robbery. The suspect was carrying a gray and black messenger bag.

Police are analyzing surveillance video from the robbery, and the case is still under investigation, said DeKalb Police Lt. Gary Spangler.

“We have a lot of leads to follow up on and a lot of details in this case we need to spend time on,” Spangler said.
