A California man died in a car crash Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Annie Glidden Road and Bethany Road.

John T. Kimura, 49, of Fresno, Calif. was pronounced dead after the vehicle he was driving pulled out in front of a vehicle driving northbound on Annie Glidden Road, according to a DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office press release. The northbound vehicle had the right of way, the press release said.

The two passengers of Kimura’s vehicle were transported to Kishwaukee Community Hospital. They suffered non-life threatening injuries, said DeKalb County Sheriff Roger Scott.

Kimura was flown from Kishwaukee Community Hospital to St. Anthony’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
