Two people were robbed of a case of beer in the 1100 block of Varsity Boulevard early Sunday morning.

At about 3:30 a.m., while investigating an unrelated 911 call, police were waved down by a person saying his two friends had just been robbed in the area, said DeKalb Police Lt. Gary Spangler.

The victim told police he was walking home with his girlfriend when two suspects jumped out of the bushes, knocked them down and took the case of beer they were carrying, Spangler said. The suspects then took the beverages and ran from the scene.

The male victim sustained minor injuries, and the female victim was not injured.

The suspects are described as two white males. No further description was available.
