Web site may become new best friend for TV addicts

I’ve found the coolest site ever.
Surfthechannel.com is the Internet’s anecdote for the TV addict. I used to be that girl who’d download all her favorite shows off iTunes for a whopping $1.99 per episode. I figured it was cheaper than buying DVD seasons of TV shows months after season finales aired. This, however, led to one long iTunes bill I didn’t want to deal with.
Other TV fans, evidently, are smarter than me. Surfthechannel.com allows users to download any show they want from whatever year they want. Even reruns “My So-Called Life” are available. That, dear readers, is even cooler than Jared Leto himself.
The site connects to YouTube-esque Web sites from all over the world. While the legality of downloading for free still isn’t 100 percent cool, the concept of finding what you want when you want is pretty nifty.
If only the entertainment industry would embrace free file-sharing.
