Students could use a refresher on library use

The DeKalb Fire Department will host an open house to help inform residents in an effort to keep homes safer throughout the community.
The open house will be at Fire Station 3, 950 W. Dresser Road, Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon.
The event, which is held during Fire Prevention Week, will have several raffle prizes including 12 carbon monoxide detectors and a Lego Fire Station.
The fire department will display fire apparatuses along with its latter tower and airport crash rescue truck.
“We work really hard to work with partners in our community to keep your home safer,” said Bruce Harrison, Acting Fire Chief of DeKalb.
