With a proven record and specific involvement with student issues, incumbent Sen. Richard Durbin is the candidate to stay with.

Durbin has been involved with reducing textbook costs and making college more affordable – things that make any student’s life easier.

Durbin voted against the war and believes a new direction in Iraq is what we should focus on. In backing both Durbin and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, we are thinking ahead in endorsing candidates who share the same stance on the war in Iraq.

The transportation improvements – highway, rail and aerial – he’s brought to Illinois have improved the state’s infrastructure.

In his 12 years as senator, Durbin has shown he fights for the important issues, and will continue to if he is re-elected.

His experience on the national level and what he has done for Illinois speak for Durbin; he’s
someone who gets things done.
